Stock (Inventory) counts in a computer shop
Open the program Excel. Open the file stock.xls. Save it in your folder with the name stockYourInitials. Answer the following questions based on that file. You must use formulaes and functions to find the answers. Use the COUNTIF Formulaes and Functions in the Excel / Help / Index if necessary.
Look at the spreadsheet. Note in which column the different items are found. Check the spelling of the items.
Submit the answers on foolscap paper or as a word processed document. Next to each answer indicate the formula used to find the answer.
Count the number of the following. How many of ... are there in the store? (Please note the "s" at the end of some of the names is to make it grammatically correct. Ignore where necessary.)
Count the number of the following. How many times have the following supplied goods?
Count the number of the following. How many products from SA Computer Magazine of a particular month and year were found in the store?
