School web site

  1. Create a web site for your school. It needs the following information displayed in 4-6 pages:
    1. mission statement
    2. subjects offered
    3. sport and cultural activities offered
    4. a policy (Aids, drugs, language, etc.)
    5. a response form about any school topic and an
    6. index or main page.
  2. The information must be meaningful and a credit to your school.
  3. Use the checklist to guide yourself in creating the site.
  4. Upload the site to netfirms or any other web hosting site.
  5. Look at my site millerchile.netfirms.com and phs2006matric.netfirms.com
  6. My experience in creating that site are the following:
    1. All files used in the site must be one word, not mission statement but missionstatement or mission_statement.
    2. Mouse overs did not work.
    3. No file may be more than 500 kb
  7. Submit
    1. a Word document with the name of your URL.
    2. 5-10 lines of comments from friends, learners, colleagues about your site.
    3. Completed checklist
  8. Assessment:
    1. Technical details - 75%:
      1. Complete the check list.
      2. Calculate your mark for technical details.
    2. Information - 25%:
      1. I will look at the information and evaluate it.
