Pinelands High School tuck shop (2 April - 6 April)
- Use a spreadsheet such as Excel to solve the problem of working out the
costs.
- Copy the details in the table into Excel.
- Complete the spreadsheet using the functions/formulae below:
- Total items sold - Total the number of items sold each day. Copy the values
across using the Autofill handle.
- Total sold - Total the number of individual items sold during the week.
- Total sales - Total sold x Sale price. Copy the values across for all items using
the Autofill handle.
- Total costs - Total sold x Cost price. Copy the values across for all items using
the Autofill handle
- Weekly profit - Total sales - (minus) Total costs. Copy the values across for all
items using the Autofill handle
- Format the amounts of money to display two decimals.
- Format the currency to Rand.
- Insert the Pinelands High School badge from a web page, onto the spreadsheet.
- Draw a pie graph/chart.
- Show the Total sold during the week so that the best sellers are easily shown.
- Label clearly.
- Indicate the percentages.
- Centre the heading Pinelands High School tuck shop (2 April - 6 April) across the
top of the spreadsheet
- Bold the names of the products.
- In File / Properties add your name as the author.
- As a footer add the file name left, Prepared by ... and the date
centre. (Add as a mixture of normal and custom
footers.)
- Print the spreadsheet and graph/chart on ONE page.
