Reading is considered to be one of the top priorities in the hospital school. The learners have to read every day and volunteers come in regularly to read to the children. During Readathon Week each year, special guests are invited to read with and to the children in hospital.
Readathon Week September 2002
Learners from the Hebrew Academy visited the hospital to read and interact with the children. The visitors had prepared beforehand to read to the hospital children and we commend them for their efforts. They also donated books of our choice to the hospital school. In addition, the learners from the Hebrew Academy had knitted a brightly coloured blanket which was given to Rose, a patient in the hospital, as a special gift.
