When you are ready to record your podcast go to www.odeo.com and log in.
When you have logged in, change the URL to studio.odeo.com

On the main page select Set up a new podcast. This means set up the area for the collection of audio files which form the pod. (A pod of whales is a group of whales.)

You will now create a channel or area for the podcast. I chose to create an area for all my Grade 11 students to whom I teach CAT (Computer Applications Technology). Fill in the details of Title and Description and Save.

The new screen gives the pod details. The pod/channel is now ready to get some content. The RSS URL is most important as that is the URL you will add to BlogBridge, Google Reader or iTunes. Select Go add some content to it!

Record an audio file in the usual way with Odeo.

When finished recording the audio file select Save recording.

You must save the audio file or place the audio file in the correct pod or channel. I saved mine in the CAT Grade 11 at PHS pod or channel. At any time to add more Odeo files to a pod, just create the audio and place the file in the correct pod or channel.

My audio file was about Integrated task 2. I have no intention of using these MP3 URLs or Odeo directory names.

I am now ready to create some more audio files to add to the pod. To add more Odeo files to a pod, just place the file in the correct pod or channel.

You can see my Podcasts.
The first Online safety at school is not a podcast. It should have been but it is only one file and not a pod.
The second Online safety in the home is also not a podcast. It should have been but it is only one file and not a pod. They were both mistakes which I cannot delete.
Online safety is a
pod and it contains 2 audio files which can be reached by clicking
.
To check what was in the CAT Grade 11 channel. I selected the box CAT Grade 11 at PHS.
To add more Odeo files to a pod, just place the file in the correct pod or channel.

To Promote the pod or channel select Promote.

Select and copy the contents of one of the boxes. Minimise Odeo and go into your blog at Blogger.

In Blogger go to the area where you can add an element to your Template.

Open the HTML/JavaScript box.

Paste the data from the Odeo promote box into your Blogger HTML box. Give it a heading. Save. Publish and View.

The podcasting channel is there in Blogger for anyone to hear!

From the Blogger podcast I took the details to paste into iTunes and subcribed .
