  1. Create a desktop published booklet or big newsletter on Networking using a word processing application and not a desktop publishing application. Use the text provided in the MSWord file on Networking.
  2. Use the Desktop publishing evaluation rubric and the Desktop publishing guidelines as guidelines.
  3. Needs the following.  Consult the rubric.
    1. Header
    2. Footer with author and document information
    3. Page numbering
    4. Bullets
    5. Watermark
    6. Columns
    7. Different indentations for different sections
    8. Table of contents
    9. Index
    10. Uniform headings with alignment, point size and style. From the numbering one can see the different sections and the relative importance of each section. Using styles, give headings to each section.  Keep to the importance of each section. Remove the numbering.
    11. Two separate sections which must have columns; one section with two columns, the other with three columns. You will need to add section breaks (Insert / Breaks / Section breaks)
  4. Print and submit.  Online learners submit as an email attachment or fax or print.
