    1. C - needs hard disk, useful being part of a network so that learners can communicate with each other.
    2. A - like Shoprite, just needs to connect to a file server to update stock and sales information, needs no hard drive.
    3. B - does not need disks as nothing saved on individual disks but on the server. Needs to be networked so that cataloger and user can get to the same system.
    4. C - text does not use major storage memory requirements, therefore small hard disks acceptable. Must be part of a network so that information can be accessed through the system.

  1. Look at the URL of the site. If it has gov it is a government site. If it has org it is an organisation web site. There may be an author of the site. If their address seems to link with the 'authority' of the site, it may be correct. For example, if the web master had an address of is for Israel in their address, it was probably an Israeli site. The web design and layout have no influence on the authority of the site.

    1. Any program which you download must be scanned before executing, do not open attachments from strange sources, be aware that a Word or Excel file attachment may contain a Macro virus.
    2. Do a regular virus check on the whole network, have few disk drives to prevent people bringing disks which may contain a virus.

    1. Most word processors today can do many things a DTP package can do, but a DTP package makes booklet, pamphlet, etc. creation, so much easier.
    2. For technical design, for design which requires measurement of distance, for design which requires specialised controls not found in a common drawing package.
    3. Sans serif - has no feet, short and sharp, suitable for quick glances.
    4. Evening when SA mainly off line, during weekends when most businesses globally are off line. Line not so busy, easier to connect.
    5. Need better lines. SA lines are much too slow at present.
