Rename the folder YourSurnameFirstnameVideos. All the files necessary for the exam will be in this folder. Save all your work in this folder. Only do what is required and nothing more. Save your work on a regular basis.  All the files are found in this zipped file.

Question 1 - Access - 22 marks

Rename the file 0511Videos  YourSurnameVideos Answer the questions based on the database YourSurnameVideos. Where able write the answers on this sheet. Number queries and reports clearly. 

The database has three tables. 

  1. General Movies table 
    1. Table 
      1. Do something so that when you add a new record, you can quickly add the Genre details. (1) 
    2. Queries 
      1. How many R rated movies are in the table? (1) ...... 
      2. How many movies have the letters 'man' anywhere in the title? (1) ...... 
      3. How many PG-13 Dramas are there? (1) ......

Question 2 - FrontPage - 29 marks

Open FrontPage.  Rename the web Movies YourSurnameMovies. 

  1. Open the web YourSurnameMovies. 
  2. Index page 
    1. Words Welcome to my world of movies and movie stars
    2. Status bar message Fantasy world. (1)
    3. Mailto to yourself as the author with your correct school address. (1)
    4. Feature where the date on which the page is edited is given and changes automatically when updated. Use words Last modified ...  (1)
    5. Page title My movies (1)
    6. Use the image background found in the Images folder as a background. (1)
    7. camera.jpg as image in the centre of the page. (1)
  3. Gibson page
    1. Give the page the background image as a background and as a watermark. (1)
    2. Centre the heading and make it large. (1)
    3. Insert the picture of  Mel Gibson found in the images folder.  The picture must be on the right of the page with text wrapped around it. (1)

    4. Shade the paragraph of information green with an interesting border. (1)

  4. Bullock page
    1. Trivia list - Replace all the boring bullets with all clipart picture bullet. (1)
    2. The page is very long.  Put a hyperlink at the bottom of the page which will link to the top of the page. (1)
    3. Go on the Internet and find a web page about the film Murder by Numbers and hyperlink the movie.  (1)
    4. Make a table of the Salary of Sandra Bullock. 
      1. It needs 3 columns: Title, Year and Income 
      2. Number of rows - You decide - it must be correct 
      3. Column headings - Shaded, Centred (1) 
      4. Columns - Just wide enough (1) 
      5. Salary - Aligned correctly (What that means you should know) (1) 
      6. Insert a merged row at the top of the table with the heading Salary of Sandra Bullock. (1) 
      7. Make all the border lines the colour peachy pink wide. (1) 
  5. Create a page called Puzzle
    1. Create a tile puzzle using the ugly picture of Michelle Peiffer. 
    2. Normal picture the same size as the puzzle so the user can check their skill at making the puzzle. (1)  
    3. Pictures next to each other. (1)
  6. Quiz - Adjust something in the quiz / do something to the quiz so that the quiz works when marked and the correct answers are correct.  (2)
  7. Create a new page called Pictures
    1. Arrange the two ugly pictures and the two pretty pictures in two rows as thumbnails in the centre of the screen.  (You could put them in a table but the table borders may not show.) (2)
  8. Create a frames page 
    1. Save the banner page as Banner
    2. Save the Contents page as Contents
    3. Set the Bullock page as the main initial page. (1)
    4. Create a hyperlink from the Index page to the Frames page. (1)
  9. Contents
    1. Add the words Sandra Bullock, Mel Gibson, Pictures, Quiz and Tile puzzle one below the other and hyperlink them to the correct pages. (1)
    2. The hyperlinks must change to another colour when the mouse is moved them. (1)
  10. Banner - Add a small picture of yourself or a young person and the words My favourite movies. (1)

Question 3 - PowerPoint - 14 marks

Open the PowerPoint slide show Movie Cartoons and save it as YourSurnameInitials_Movie Cartoons. 

  1. Apply a dark pink colour as background to all the slides. (1) 
  2. Now apply a light pink colour as background to slide 1 and only slide 1. (1) 
  3. Insert a new slide (Type: Title Slide), between slide 1 and slide 2. 
  4. On the 2nd slide you just created:
    1. Type the following text as the title: ‘Interesting Portraits’. (1) 
    2. Now type beneath the title in the same text box, in text size 24, the following text: ‘Click on the person/slide you would like to see’. (1) 
    3. In the subtitle textbox ...
      1. Add the four names of the people whose artistic pictures are on display, as well as the words 'Our lady Actors'.
      2. These names must be underneath each other. (1) 
      3. Each name must have a small square bullet. (1) 
      4. The colour of each bullet must be blue. (1) 
      5. Hyperlink each name to its respective picture/slide. The hyperlink must be the name itself. (1) 
      6. Add a screen tip to the hyperlink of Leonardo Di Caprio with the following text: 'Note the dummy'. (1) 
  5. On each of the slides of the four people plus the slide of  'Our lady Actors', add a hyperlink going back to slide 2.
  6. Add text to the slide of Al Pacino: 'Famous for his role in the movies with the Italian Mafia - Capish'. (1) 
  7. On the slide of baby face Leonardo Di Caprio, you may add your own unusual text. (1) 
  8. On the last slide ...
    1. On the last slide add the ugly pictures of Sandra Bullock and Michelle Pheiffer. Their pictures should occupy most of the slide.
    2. Include a note: 'These are two of the best lady actors in the world'. (1) 
    3. Animation for all four objects are to be inserted on this slide. (1) 
  9. Make sure that the slide show has no transitions except from slide 1 to slide 2. (After slide 1 all transitions must work with the hyperlinks.) (1)
