4. Time sharing allots short periods of time for the processing of multiple programs on one CPU on a rotating basis.(1) The CPU spends a specific amount of time with each program and moves on. (1) The benefit of time sharing is that users executing small programs are not held up while waiting for the CPU. Because the computer is so fast, the user does not realize that multiple tasks are occurring. (1) (3)
