Central Processing Unit diagram

  1. Create 4 diagrams comparing the abilities of different CPUs using a word processing program such as Word.
  2. Each diagram must be exactly ¼ page.  Use line tools, custom shapes, oval boxes, text boxes, etc.; colour, fill effects, different types of lines, rotate boxes, etc. to help explain the information; plus pictures of CPUs.
  3. The 4 diagrams must fit onto ONE page exactly.  The boxes must be aligned and rotated in interesting ways.
  4. Information can be found in your glossary or anywhere else.  You must have the names of the major companies and pictures of their CPUs. Computers have a modular design so one can choose the type of CPU required.  The diagram must help explain in a graphical way the differences between CPUs and why one would choose one instead of the other.
  5. Onsite learners print the diagram. Online learners submit the work as an email attachment. Phone your teacher two days after submitting the work.
  6. Needed are least 8 features, i.e. line tools, custom shapes, oval boxes, text boxes, etc.; colour, fill effects, rotation, etc.; pictures.
  7. Consult the rubric for assessment.
