Central Processing Unit diagram
- Create 4 diagrams comparing the abilities of different CPUs using a word processing
program such as Word.
- Each diagram must be exactly ¼ page. Use line tools, custom
shapes, oval boxes, text boxes, etc.; colour, fill effects, different types of lines,
rotate boxes, etc. to help explain the information; plus pictures of CPUs.
- The 4 diagrams must fit onto ONE page exactly. The boxes must be aligned and
rotated in interesting ways.
- Information can be found in your glossary or anywhere else. You must have the
names of the major companies and pictures of their CPUs. Computers have a modular design
so one can choose the type of CPU required. The diagram must help explain in a
graphical way the differences between CPUs and why one would choose one instead of the
other.
- Onsite learners print the diagram. Online learners submit the work as an email
attachment. Phone your teacher two days after submitting the work.
- Needed are least 8 features, i.e. line tools, custom shapes, oval boxes, text boxes,
etc.; colour, fill effects, rotation, etc.; pictures.
- Consult the rubric for assessment.
